APPLICATION AND SELECTION - SET PROGRAM IN NEUROSURGERY
Eligibility to Apply
The eligibility criteria are subject to change on an annual basis. The eligibility criteria for the 2011 intake (conducted during 2010) are available here.
Step 1: Registration for Selection
Opens: January 13 (12 noon AEDT)
Closes: February 19 (5.00 pm AEDT)
All eligibility requirements must be satisfied at the time of registration. Full details on the generic eligibility requirements and the registration form will be available from the College website. Full details on the neurosurgery specific eligibly requirements are detailed in the Regulations which are available here.
Step 2: Application Process
Opens: March 12 (12.00 noon AEDT)
Closes: April 6 (12.00 noon AEDT)
The application process for those who are registered (see step 1 above) will open and close as advertised above. During this time registered applicants who are eligible will have access to the application form which will be emailed by our office. Late applications are not considered. A fee will be charged for application to the SET Program in Neurosurgery. For 2010 the Selection Processing Fee will be $AUD616 including GST.
Step 3: Selection Process
After the closing date for application the selection process for the SET Program in Neurosurgery takes approximately three and a half months. A short listing process is undertaken and those who are short listed for interview will be interviewed on 1 or 2 July 2010. The selection process during 2010 will conclude with letters of offer on 16 July 2010. For full details on the selection process are available here.
