There are four compulsory examinations during the SET Program in Neurosurgery:
The Generic and Neurosurgery SET Surgical Science Examinations and Clinical Examinations are undertaken during SET1. The Fellowship Examination in Neurosurgery is undertaken during SET6. Full details relating to the examinations can be found on the College website.
Additional information including neurosurgery specific reading lists and past Fellowship Examination papers are available to registered users using the menu options on the left hand side menu bar.
The Generic and Neurosurgery SET Surgical Science Examinations and Clinical Examinations are undertaken during SET1. The Examinations are conducted twice yearly, usually in February - March and June - July. The closing date for applications to sit for the Examinations is usually around three months prior to the scheduled Examination date. For further information please see the links below.
Eligible candidates are required to submit an application form in advance; a form and relevant documentation can be obtained from the College website using the general information link below.
The Fellowship Examination in Neurosurgery is undertaken during SET6. Eligible candidates are required to submit an application form in advance; a form and relevant documentation can be obtained from the College website using the general information link below. Trainees can access past Fellowship Examination papers below provided they are logged in.
