Fellow Position - Lady Cilento Children's Hospital

The Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in South Brisbane has been accredited as a PFET training position until 2022 and invites FRACS (neurosurgery) candidates to apply for accredited post fellowship training for 12 months in paediatric neurosurgery commencing in February 2019. The Fellow would work in one of the busiest Australasian paediatric neurosurgical departments in a tertiary/quarternary hospital responsible for delivering paediatric neurosurgical care to the state of Queensland as well as northern NSW. There would be opportunity to be involved in subspecialised areas of epilepsy surgery, craniofacial surgery, in utero surgery for spina bifida as well as all other aspects of paediatric neurosurgery. The department has a strong focus on a multidisciplinary approach to complex paediatric neurosurgical disorders with combined surgical epilepsy, craniofacial, neurovascular and spinal dysraphic clinics. There is also opportunity to be involved neurosurgically in the only paediatric hospital accredited as a level 1 Trauma Centre throughout Australasia.

Cerebrovascular Fellow - Macquarie Neurosurgery

An opportunity is available with Macquarie Neurosurgery for a Cerebrovascular Fellow to commence in June 2019. The role is to provide safe, effective clinical and surgical care to the patients of Macquarie Neurosurgery under the supervision of specialist staff whilst undertaking learning and professional development activities. Neurosurgery Registrar - Macquarie Neurosurgery

Macquarie Neurosurgery is seeking an Unaccredited Neurosurgical Registrar to provide clinical and surgical services and contribute to the development of the unit. This full-time position is not a position recognised by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons for training, however it will allow the successful candidate an opportunity to experience surgery in a private University hospital and academic health science centre.  Please click here for further information.

Non-Training Neurosurgery Registrar - Darwin

The Royal Darwin Hospital Neurosurgery Department invites applications for the position of non-training Neurosurgery Registrar.

This is an opportunity for an aspiring neurosurgical trainee to gain experience in a new and expanding Neurosurgery service at an interesting locality. The post is for 6 months from July 2018 with a possible extension for up to another 12 months for the right applicant. In this small unit, there will be three specialist neurosurgeons with opportunity for surgical experience and one-on-one teaching.

Preference will be given to applications with prior experience in basic operative skills and neurosurgical patient care.

Epilepsy Fellow - Austin Hospital, Melbourne
The successful applicant is required to be a fully qualified Neurosurgeon, who wishes to improve his or her clinical skills in all areas of Epilepsy Surgery and Movement Disorders.  The role is a supervised role for a one-year training program within the Departments of Neurosurgery and Epilepsy at Austin Health and Repatriation Hospital, Northern Hospital with a possible option at the Royal Children’s Hospital, with sites visits to Epworth & Cabrini Medical Centres.

Pain Management - 2019 Training Positions
